What is a panorama?

pan , a word element or prefix meaning "all", implying the union, association, or consideration together, as forming a whole.

pan·o·ram·a n. 1. An unbroken view of an entire surrounding area. 2. A comprehensive presentation; a survey. 3. A picture or series of pictures representing a continuous scene.


It's NOT just placing a few images together to make a whole one (well ok, at times it's that simple). It can take a lot of effort/skill to work with the frames in a scene to make it all fit together AND look good/complete.
